Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyzekel Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Tarbois (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Lyzekel Rage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kris Tarbois! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Tarbois.
A jab from Tarbois finds it's way through Rage's defenses. Rage is trying hard to land a takedown here. Tarbois sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Tarbois closes the distance and pushes Rage back into the cage. Tarbois is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Tarbois looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Rage misses with some punches.

Tarbois tries to close the distance and clinch but Rage swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tarbois swinging wildly here.
Rage throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tarbois's waist but Tarbois gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rage off to one side. Tarbois closes the distance and clinches. Rage keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tarbois's efforts to push away. Tarbois tries to break free but Rage pushes him back against the cage. Rage wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Tarbois's face as he tries to break the clinch. Tarbois manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rage shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lyzekel Rage. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rage is breathing heavily. Tarbois has managed to clinch.
Rage tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Tarbois wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Rage has him pressed against the cage. Tarbois has had enough of the clinch but Rage keeps him there for the moment. Rage controlling the action here for a moment.
Tarbois tries to score a body lock takedown but Rage shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Tarbois blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tarbois takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Tarbois is trying to force a seperation but Rage has the dominant position. Rage drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tarbois pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Donk. Tarbois catches Rage right on the button with a cross. A right-left combo lands from Tarbois. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Tarbois!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tarbois rushes Rage and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Tarbois is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Tarbois scores with a knee to the head.
Tarbois escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tarbois tests Rage's chin there with a solid looking shot. Tarbois lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Tarbois shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rage's guard. Tarbois trying to control the position from guard on top but Rage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rage being controlled here, momentarily. Tarbois wants to control from the top but Rage keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tarbois controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Let's hope that Tarbois has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Despite being in the dominant position, Kris Tarbois just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tarbois with a jab. Tarbois scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Rage gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Rage. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Tarbois scores with a hook to the body. Rage takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Tarbois cracks Rage with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Tarbois.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rage blocks a head kick by Tarbois.
Rage walks into a jab. Tarbois jabs Rage right on the nose. Rage blinks but takes it well.
Rage is rocked! Tarbois walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Rage drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Tarbois swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Rage's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kris Tarbois!
