Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Evander Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Young Tupac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Young Tupac is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Evander Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Young Tupac!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tupac sprawls well. Tupac wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kane gets slowly back to his feet.
Kane will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Tupac closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kane did well to prevent Tupac getting side control.

Kane is defending against the submission attempts here by Tupac.

Tupac is looking for a kimura but Kane is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tupac to get the leverage.

Tupac is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kane is just riding it out for now. Tupac eventually gives up the hold.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kane gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Tupac counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kane!

Tupac moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kane has worked his arm free - good work by Kane!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kane keeps Tupac under control for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kane tries to buck Tupac off but Tupac is having none of it.

Tupac wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kane, who protects the arm well.
Kane is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kane gets back to half guard.
Kane flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Kane wants to control but Tupac is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Tupac is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kane is just riding it out for now. Tupac eventually gives up the hold.
Kane looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kane tries to clinch but Tupac moves away

and Tupac counters with a single leg into guard. Kane didn't expect that.
Kane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tupac on the ground.

Tupac thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kane had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tupac defends it easily.
Tupac won't allow Kane to sweep him here.
Kane wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Kane seems keen to control Tupac's posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Young Tupac dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kane closes the distance looking to clinch

and Tupac counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tupac.

Kane wants to get back to his feet but Tupac is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Tupac drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kane manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tupac has Kane in his guard.

Kane is sitting in close to Tupac's body. Tupac has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kane is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kane is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Tupac.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Young Tupac!
