PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Victor Enduro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hong Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Enduro comes to the cage accompanied by Embrace Of The Endless Ocean. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Victor Enduro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hong Lee!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Enduro tries for a takedown but Lee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A head kick misses from Lee.

Lee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Enduro, pushing him back against the cage.

Lee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Lee drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Lee gets to his feet - Enduro follows without any prompting.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Enduro.

Lee shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Enduro manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Enduro is retaining full guard.
Enduro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Enduro is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Lee is refusing to be controlled, as Enduro sits in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee is holding on to half guard well.
Lee is pressing down on Enduro's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lee seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Enduro lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Enduro is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lee is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lee has escaped and now he's on top!
Enduro is breathing heavily.
Lee passes Enduro's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Lee stands up out of the half guard.
Victor Enduro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lee gets the takedown into side control.
Lee trying to control the action but Enduro is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee happy to just control the position for now.

Lee decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Lee goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Enduro decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lee wants to control but Enduro is keeping busy.
Enduro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lee on the ground.

Enduro is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Lee moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lee has his hands on Enduro's head, controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hong Lee dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Lee closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Enduro fails to pull guard.
Enduro is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Lee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lee shoots in for a double leg but Enduro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lee circles away from the clinch attempt.
Enduro closes the distance but Lee moves to the side

and Lee counters with a single leg into guard. Enduro didn't expect that.
Lee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Enduro swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lee is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee trying to control but Enduro is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lee's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Despite being in the dominant position, Hong Lee just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Enduro throws a sloppy head kick and Lee moves out of range easily.
Lee throws a head kick that misses.

Lee shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Enduro napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Enduro is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Enduro tries to bench press Lee off him but Lee keeps the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee controlling from side mount.
Enduro is not content to let Lee control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lee working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lee trying to control the action but Enduro is working from the bottom.
Lee in side control lands a decent elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hong Lee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


A head kick by Lee misses

and Enduro counters by clinching up.
Enduro has had enough of the clinch but Lee keeps him there for the moment.

Lee breaks the clinch.
Enduro misses with a takedown

and Lee counters with a shoot takedown. Enduro fights it but they end up in guard.
Lee advances position into side control!
Lee moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Enduro tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee controlling the pace for now.
Enduro is in all sorts of trouble here.

Lee is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Enduro to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Enduro shrugs it off.

Lee is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Enduro has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lee connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Enduro tries to hold on but Lee pushes him away.

Lee has hold of Enduro's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Enduro manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lee trying to control but he's not successful this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Enduro kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Hong Lee has got the better of the ground game so far.
Enduro tries to hold on but Lee postures up.

Lee is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Enduro to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Enduro shrugs it off.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Enduro trying desperately to get to his feet.
Lee prevents Enduro from getting the reversal.
Lee sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hong Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision.
