Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Szaul Suzxio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommie Karlsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tommie Karlsson!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlsson slips a jab and a cross from Suzxio.
Suzxio fails in his attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Karlsson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A head kick misses from Suzxio.
Karlsson is looking to clinch but Suzxio is avoiding it.
Good leg kick by Karlsson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tommie Karlsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suzxio clinches but Karlsson breaks the clinch
and Karlsson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Suzxio tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Suzxio could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Suzxio.
Karlsson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Karlsson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Suzxio can't fight it off and eventually Karlsson manages to take the fight to the floor. Suzxio looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Suzxio really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...
Karlsson stands up from guard. Let's bang!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Karlsson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A punch combination from Suzxio misses.

Karlsson is looking to clinch.
Suzxio tries to close the distance and clinch but Karlsson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Suzxio misses with a takedown
and Karlsson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Suzxio is breathing heavily.
Nice combo by Karlsson! Oh, that's hurt him - Suzxio falls to the canvas and Karlsson follows him into side control.
Suzxio is rocked!
Karlsson slows the pace down.
Oh Suzxio is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Karlsson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Suzxio to his feet.
Karlsson shoots in for a takedown but Suzxio shows good takedown defense.
Suzxio seems to have got his legs back now.
Karlsson has managed to clinch.

Karlsson pushes Suzxio off and gets back to his feet.
Karlsson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Karlsson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Suzxio might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Suzxio is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Suzxio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Karlsson on the ground.
Suzxio looking to hit a scissor sweep but Karlsson is one step ahead there.
Suzxio escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Karlsson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Karlsson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Karlsson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Suzxio escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Karlsson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Karlsson stands and throws Suzxio's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suzxio is looking to regain half guard here but Karlsson keeps moving and retains side control.

Karlsson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Suzxio!

Suzxio is in all sorts of trouble here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Suzxio is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Karlsson controlling the position easily from mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Karlsson has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Suzxio defend it? Karlsson steps over the head and cranks it - Suzxio is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Karlsson!
