The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trautman darts in and clinches game up against the cage. game gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Trautman.
game is pressed up against the cage. Trautman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag game down to the mat. game avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Trautman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Trautman throws some wild stikes that game manages to avoid easily.
Trautman swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and game is now in Trautman's guard. A big mistake from Trautman there, giving up the dominant position! Trautman looking for a guillotine here but game defends easily.

Trautman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Trautman is looking for a kimura but game is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Trautman to get the leverage. Trautman is breathing heavily. Trautman seems to be working for a kimura but game defends the submission attempt. Trautman is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Trautman looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trautman scoring with punches to the head and body. Trautman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Trautman accidentally thumps the mat. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Trautman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Trautman is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but game is surviving well by controlling Trautman's body position as best he can. Trautman landing strikes from the mount and game is in trouble! Trautman looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. game really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trautman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This has been an exciting period of action! Trautman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. game can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
