Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Porter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Finan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Porter comes to the cage accompanied by Red Hot Chili Peppers - Roller Coaster of Love. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyrone Finan!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Porter.

Finan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Porter is trying to defend but Finan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Finan seems to be looking for submissions.

Finan is looking for a kimura but Porter is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Finan to get the leverage.
Porter regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Finan.
Porter is looking to stand up but Finan isn't so interested in that idea.

Porter is working an open guard so Finan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Finan has taken the fight to the clinch.

Finan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Finan shoots for a double leg takedown but Porter sprawls well. He's pushed Finan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Matt Porter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Porter lands with a nice combination. Finan backs away looking to recover.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Porter connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Finan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Porter is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Finan, into his guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Finan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Porter avoids it really well and circles away.
Finan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

A lazy left from Porter finds it's target.
Porter throws a good cross that connects.
Porter lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Porter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Finan.
Porter uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Finan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Finan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Porter is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Finan connects with a nice short shot to Porter's temple.

Finan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Finan working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Porter's thigh. Porter counters though and makes it back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Finan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Porter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Finan has Porter in his guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Finan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Finan goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Porter turns into him and now he's in Finan's guard.

Porter thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Finan controls Porter momentarily but Porter frees himself.

Finan looking for a guillotine here but Porter defends easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Finan has a closed guard, preventing Porter from standing up.

Porter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Finan controls Porter momentarily but Porter frees himself.
Tyrone Finan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Finan striking off his back but it's not causing Porter any problems.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Finan takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Porter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Porter wants it to stay on the feet.

Porter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Porter throws a right hand that Finan ducks under and follows up with a left that Finan also avoids with ease.
Finan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Porter swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Porter stalks Finan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Finan's face. Finan staggers backwards, shaken.

The crowd cheers as Porter lands an impressive looking overhand right. Finan doesn't seem phased though.

Porter feints and then cracks Finan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Finan down.

Finan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Good leg kick by Porter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
No joy there for Porter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Finan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Porter tries to avoid it but Finan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Porter to the ground. Porter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Porter tries to bum rush Finan with a series of wild strikes but Finan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Porter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
