Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Dawg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirill Koussevitzky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawg comes to the cage accompanied by Boom Boom Boom. Kirill Koussevitzky is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Dawg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kirill Koussevitzky! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koussevitzky lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dawg looks for a takedown but Koussevitzky sprawls well. Dawg shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Koussevitzky but Koussevitzky pushes him off and we're back to square one. Dawg closes the distance and clinches up with Koussevitzky, looking for a takedown. Dawg pushes Koussevitzky against the cage but Koussevitzky circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Dawg. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dawg gets the takedown into side control. Koussevitzky taking punishment in the form of punches.
Koussevitzky is pushing Dawg's head away, looking to escape. Dawg manages to hold on to the position though. Dawg works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Dawg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Koussevitzky is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Dawg looks for a takedown but Koussevitzky sprawls well. Koussevitzky throws a nice looking combination but Dawg bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. No luck for Dawg with that takedown attempt. Koussevitzky scores with a jab to the body. Horrible takedown by Dawg or perhaps it was just good defense by Koussevitzky which made him look bad. Dawg shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Koussevitzky as he avoids it easily. Dawg drives through with a takedown into guard. Dawg slips nicely into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dawg connects with a nice short shot to Koussevitzky's temple.

Dawg trying to control the action but Koussevitzky is working from the bottom. Dawg scores with a couple of good hammerfists. This has been an exciting period of action! Koussevitzky is trying to stand.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Dawg changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Koussevitzky tries to avoid it but Dawg manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Koussevitzky to the ground. Koussevitzky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Koussevitzky takes the fight into the clinch. Koussevitzky breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dawg looks for a takedown but Koussevitzky sprawls well. Koussevitzky clinches up against the cage. Dawg lands an elbow just above Koussevitzky 's eye. Dawg fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Koussevitzky lands with a right to the head. Dawg is working for takedown but Koussevitzky is calmly controlling the position for now. Dawg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dawg is pushing down on Koussevitzky's leg trying to pass to half guard. Koussevitzky is fighting to maintain full guard but Dawg has managed to sneak the leg through. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Koussevitzky can do anything to dispel that myth. Nice strikes from Dawg there. Dawg not landing any meaningful shots this time. Dawg not landing any meaningful shots this time. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Dawg working Koussevitzky over with strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Koussevitzky is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dawg is controlling him. Dawg throws and elbow that misses. Koussevitzky uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dawg's guard. Nice move by Koussevitzky! This has been an exciting period of action! Koussevitzky has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dawg is proving hard to escape from. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Jim Dawg has been cut. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A right-left combo lands from Koussevitzky. Dawg scores a takedown into full mount! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Dawg with a couple of short strikes.

Koussevitzky is rocked! Dawg scoring with strikes but Koussevitzky is staying in there. Koussevitzky is still in real trouble! Can Dawg finish him? Dawg has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Koussevitzky's face.
Dawg with a couple of short strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dawg cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dawg lands with some strikes. Dawg with the ground and pound from mount. Koussevitzky really wants to buck Dawg off and get back to his feet. Koussevitzky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dawg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dawg working away from the top, dropping strikes. Dawg is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Koussevitzky can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Dawg breaks from Koussevitzky's wrist control and lands an elbow. Koussevitzky trying desperately to get to his feet.
Jim Dawg overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dawg has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Koussevitzky is forced to tap!
