Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juggaloz Kai!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kai shoots in for a takedown but Dibbley shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kai swats away the attempt to clinch by Dibbley.
Dibbley shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kai counters with a takedown into side control.
Kai throws a strike aimed at the side of Dibbley's head but Dibbley avoids it well.
Dibbley sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Dibbley trying to control but Kai postures up.
Dibbley is trying to get back to full guard.

Kai looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Kai is trying to control. Dibbley wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kai shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Dibbley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Dibbley wants to control but Kai is keeping him busy.

Dibbley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kai sees it coming and defends easily.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

so Dibbley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Duane Dibbley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juggaloz Kai.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dibbley is pushing down on Kai's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kai is fighting to maintain full guard but Dibbley has managed to sneak the leg through.

Kai is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

and Kai counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Dibbley wants to get back to his feet but Kai is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kai drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dibbley dives on top into guard.

Kai tries to buck Dibbley off but Dibbley is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kai is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Dibbley gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Dibbley doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Kai counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dibbley won't be happy with that.

Kai is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dibbley knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kai goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dibbley rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kai's guard! Nice work there by Dibbley!

Kai throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Dibbley escapes and throws Kai's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Dibbley content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Dibbley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kai keeps working.
Kai is looking for a sweep.
Dibbley trying to control the position but Kai is working away.
Kai manages to get back to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Dibbley seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Duane Dibbley just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Kai is staying active underneath Dibbley, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kai moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Dibbley has worked his arm free - good work by Dibbley!
Kai tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Kai goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dibbley rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kai's guard! Nice work there by Dibbley!
Dibbley stays in close to Kai's body and controls the position.
Dibbley stands and throws Kai's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kai on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Dibbley scores with a one two! Kai had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Kai misses with a takedown

and Dibbley counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Dibbley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kai has a closed guard, preventing Dibbley from standing up.

Dibbley stands up from Kai's guard - Dibbley perhaps looking for a knockout.

and Dibbley counters with a three punch combo that has Kai backing up. Kai nods at Dibbley to acknowledge the strikes.
Dibbley lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Dibbley goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Dibbley throws a right and a left that Kai avoids nicely.
Kai tries for a takedown but Dibbley circles away easily
and Dibbley counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Juggaloz Kai has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Duane Dibbley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juggaloz Kai.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kai is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dibbley is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dibbley has escaped and now he's on top!

Dibbley got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kai has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dibbley has managed to get both his arms back between Kai's legs - danger averted.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well Dibbley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
