Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cleobaldo Robert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Dalton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cleobaldo Robert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jim Dalton!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robert tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dalton paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Robert is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dalton stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dalton wants it to stay on the feet.

Dalton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dalton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Robert reaches up to try and control the position but Dalton seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Robert rolls and tries to escape and now Dalton has his back!

Dalton wants to control but Robert manages to buck him off and is now in Dalton's guard! Nice work there by Robert!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Robert wants to control from the top but Dalton keeps moving.
Dalton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Robert manages to get himself to full guard.

Robert looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Robert pulls Dalton in to control the position.
Robert on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Robert tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dalton is looking to work some ground and pound but Robert has wrist control.

Robert working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dalton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dalton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Robert knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dalton on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Dalton doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Robert counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dalton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Robert throws and elbow that misses. Dalton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Robert's guard. Nice move by Dalton!
Robert is looking to sweep but instead, Dalton has passed into half guard.

Dalton tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Robert.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dalton looks gassed!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Robert wants to control but Dalton is keeping busy.
Robert is staying active underneath Dalton, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Dalton tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Robert counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Robert's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Dalton has his takedown stuffed
and Robert counters with a big head kick but Dalton shrugs it off.
Robert misses with a double jab.
Robert looks to land a right hand but Dalton moved out of range.
Dalton throws a combination. Robert tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Robert tries to clinch there but Dalton circles away.
Dalton moves in looking to clinch but Robert pushes him off.
Dalton has his takedown stuffed

and Robert counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Robert.
Dalton is breathing heavily.

Dalton looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Robert postures up in Dalton's guard and throws a big left but Dalton blocks it.

Robert stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dalton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Robert wants to control from the top but Dalton keeps moving.
Robert seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Well, if Robert is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Robert moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Dalton.
Robert gets to mount! Dalton was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Robert has hold of Dalton's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dalton manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Dalton counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Robert wants to stand up but Dalton is controlling him.
Robert looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dalton is one step ahead there.
Robert keeping full guard, as Dalton tries to pass.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cleobaldo Robert dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Robert doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Dalton counters with a shoot takedown. Robert fights it but they end up in guard.
Dalton wants to control from the top but Robert keeps moving.

Robert has his foot on Dalton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dalton works his way back into a safe position though.
Robert is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Dalton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Robert is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Robert fails with an attempt to clinch.
Robert misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A head kick misses from Robert.
Robert shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dalton defends it nicely.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dalton looks to land a strike but Robert avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Jim Dalton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Robert has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
