Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brent Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Pheonix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Pheonix!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson thumps Pheonix with a low kick.
Pheonix feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, Pheonix changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pheonix tries to kick Jackson off but Jackson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Brent Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pheonix was covering up waiting for the punch and Jackson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jackson uses his free foot to push down on Pheonix's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pheonix.
Brent Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Paul Pheonix showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pheonix changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
