Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sid Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Delquanavant Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Washington has chosen Ridin' Dirty as his entrance music. Delquanavant Washington struggled to make weight for this fight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Washington is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Horton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Washington rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Horton is nestled in close to Washington, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Horton wants to work for an arm triangle but Washington is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Washington has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Horton is working away from the top position though.

Washington might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Horton kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sid Horton.
I think Washington has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
