The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sanchez.

Silva throws a right hand that Sanchez ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanchez also avoids with ease.
Sanchez stuffs the takedown.

Sanchez pushes Silva up against the cage in a clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silva is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanchez is looking to stand up but Silva isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Silva tries to pull guard but Sanchez won't allow it.

Silva jumps guard but Sanchez stands there with Silva around his waist. Silva gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sanchez throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

It looks like Jones Silva has been cut.

Sanchez lands a nice hook to Silva's body. Silva takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
A head kick by Sanchez - that's a beauty! Silva is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Sanchez can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
