Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fisher throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Speedy was covering up waiting for the punch and Fisher finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fisher postures up.
Fisher looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Speedy looking for a sweep. Not yet Speedy, not yet.
Speedy keeping moving, preventing Fisher from controlling successfully.
Speedy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fisher!
Speedy tries to control but Fisher wriggling away.

Fisher bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Speedy controls Fisher momentarily but Fisher frees himself.
Speedy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fisher thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Speedy wants to sweep but no luck.
Fisher trying to control but Speedy is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Speedy has momentary wrist control but Fisher slips an elbow through the middle.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Speedy stuffs the takedown attempt from Fisher. Fisher gets slowly back to his feet.
Speedy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fisher paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Speedy throws a series of punches but Fisher moves out of range.

Speedy moves into range and clinches up with Fisher.

Fisher tries to pull guard but Speedy holds him up against the cage and eventually Fisher drops back down to his feet.

Fisher manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Speedy wants to control from the top but Fisher keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Speedy is looking to stand up but Fisher won't let him.
Fisher wants to stand up but Speedy is controlling him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Speedy throws a nice looking combination but Fisher bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Speedy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Speedy throws a head kick but Fisher moves out of range.
Fisher misses with a wild body shot.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Speedy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fisher's waist but Fisher gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Speedy off to one side.
Speedy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Fisher closes the distance but Speedy moves to the side
and Speedy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Fisher throws a nice looking combination but Speedy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tom Speedy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Fisher tried to score with a low kick but Speedy checks it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Fisher counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fisher.

Speedy wants to stand but Fisher has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Speedy looking to sit in guard and control but Fisher gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fisher seems to be looking for submissions.
Fisher is trying to control the action in half guard but Speedy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Speedy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Speedy could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Fisher gets to his feet. Speedy looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Fisher drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Speedy gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fisher escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fisher tries to keep at a distance but Speedy has taken the fight into the clinch.
Speedy pushes off an throws an elbow but Fisher leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Fisher tries to keep at a distance but Speedy has taken the fight into the clinch.
Speedy wants to break the clinch but can't.
Fisher has Speedy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Speedy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Speedy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Speedy shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Fisher has one foot on Speedy's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Fisher shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Speedy pinned against the cage. Speedy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Speedy tries to clinch
and Fisher counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Speedy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fisher napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Speedy stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Fisher looks to score with a jab to the body but Speedy is just out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
