Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Heikki Ramires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Don (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramires comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - The Gauntlet. Don is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Iconoclast. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Heikki Ramires! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, The Don! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramires changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Don looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ground and pound from Ramires seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Check out the look on Ramires's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Don can do anything to dispel that myth. Ramires fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Don dodges the ground and pound from Ramires. Ramires working the ground and pound but Don is defending the strikes. Don is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Don avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ramires. Don managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Ramires.
Ramires landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. An elbow from Ramires crashes against the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Ramires. Ramires is working Don over with some ground and pound from side control. Ramires tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Ramires in side control lands a decent elbow. Ramires postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Ramires trying to control the position but Don is working away. Ramires has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Don dodges the ground and pound from Ramires. Sloppy strikes there by Ramires. Ramires scores with a couple of short elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramires landing a few strikes. Ramires working the ground and pound but Don is defending the strikes. Ramires cracks Don with a big right hand but Don just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Ramires tries to move to mount but Don blocks the move with his legs. Ramires in side control, throwing shots but Don defends. Ramires creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Don sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Ramires throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Ramires lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Don down.
Ramires fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramires misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ramires wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Don, who protects the arm well. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ramires tries to score with some ground and pound. Don controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Ramires working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Ramires misses with the ground and pound. Ramires is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Don has escaped the position, nice work there. Don is not content to let Ramires control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramires tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ramires has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Ramires throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Ramires creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Don is trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Heikki Ramires dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ramires dives in and grabs Don's left leg, looking for a takedown. Don pushes down on Ramires's head and hops out. Ramires shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Don as he avoids it easily. No luck for Ramires with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Heikki Ramires. That's going to take a lot out of him. Don uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ramires.
Don waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ramires. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ramires shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Ramires raining down shots from the mount! Ramires lands a nice shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ramires cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Don in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Don really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ramires. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ramires is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Don can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Don is rocked! Ramires with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Ramires lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Don hang on? Don is still in real trouble! Can Ramires finish him? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ramires cracks Don with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Heikki Ramires!
