Gomes has chosen Juelz Santana - Murda Murda as his entrance music. Martin Gomes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Gomes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cardon sprawls well initially but Gomes persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

No joy there for Cardon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gomes wants to control for a moment but Cardon uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Cardon tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Gomes avoids it.
Gomes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cardon fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Cardon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Gomes shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cardon sprawls well. Cardon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gomes gets slowly back to his feet.

BOOM! Gomes connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That was a close second round but I would say that Danny Cardon will probably get the nod.

Gomes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cardon swivels and escapes.
