Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Min Woo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Min Woo looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Penn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Min Woo! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woo gets caught flat footed, as Penn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Penn lands a couple of decent looking shots. Penn pushes down on Woo's leg and manages to get into half guard. Penn seems to be working for a kimura but Woo defends the submission attempt. Penn is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Woo tries to roll over but Penn keeps him under control. Penn passes the guard and advances to mount! Penn has hold of Woo's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Woo manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Penn lands with some strikes. Penn punching from mount but Woo doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woo working to try and regain half guard.
Penn throws some wild stikes that Woo manages to avoid easily.
Penn working for a guillotine from mount but Woo is in no mood to give up. Woo tries to reverse the position but Penn maintains control. Penn is working for a guillotine from mount but Woo frees his head quite easily.
Penn is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Woo has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Penn is breathing heavily. Penn throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Woo because Penn loaded up on that one. Penn landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Penn is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Woo to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Woo shrugs it off. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Woo tries to reverse the position but Penn maintains control. Penn goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Woo is on top in guard.
Penn keeping moving, preventing Woo from controlling successfully. Woo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Woo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Penn throws his legs up looking for a submission but Woo uses it to pass to side control.
Penn is looking for a sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Woo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Penn knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Penn manages to get back to half guard. Penn looking for submissions off his back. Penn wants to get back to full guard. Woo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Penn actively working from the bottom here. Penn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Woo uses his free foot to push down on Penn's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Penn. Woo tries to control but Penn wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Penn is looking to improve his position but Woo isn't that keen on the idea. Penn regains half guard. Woo prevents Penn from improving his position. Penn is working hard here to advance position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Woo is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Penn! Penn is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Penn dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Penn fails with the takedown. Frank Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Penn shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Penn is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Woo is trying to get back to full guard. Penn is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Woo defends it well. Penn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Woo is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woo looks like he's trying to stand up.
Penn wants to free his trapped foot but Woo is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Penn shoots in for a double leg but Woo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Woo shoots in for a takedown but Penn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Penn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Woo counters with a slapping leg kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Penn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Penn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Woo gets back to half guard. Penn is nestled in close to Woo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Penn is pressing down on Woo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Woo is holding on for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Penn sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Woo defending well though. Woo is trying to get back to full guard. Penn is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Penn is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Woo to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Penn drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Woo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Penn has Woo in his guard. Woo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Penn works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Penn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Woo passes Penn's left leg - he's now in half guard. Woo not doing much here.
Penn looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Woo wants to control but Penn is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Penn moves into full guard.

Penn slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Woo trying to control the position from guard on top but Penn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Penn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Penn throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Woo was covering up waiting for the punch and Penn finishes the takedown easily into guard. Penn is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Woo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Penn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Penn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Penn throwing strikes but missing. Penn is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Woo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Woo has escaped and now he's on top! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Woo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Frank Penn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Woo wants to control from the top but Penn keeps moving. Penn looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Penn can't keep hold of the triangle and Woo manages to pass to side control! Woo advances nicely into full mount. Penn regains half guard. Penn looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Woo wants to control but Penn is keeping him busy. The fighters are battling for position here. Penn manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Penn is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Penn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Penn has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Woo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Penn. Min Woo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Penn is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Woo off and has taken his back!
And that's the end of the fight! Frank Penn showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Penn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
