Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lesnar is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Slam. Brian Wright has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shane Lesnar! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lesnar fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Lesnar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wright manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Wright is breathing heavily. Lesnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wright swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lesnar is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wright is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wright has escaped and now he's on top! Wright pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lesnar is keeping the position for now. That's one minute gone in the round. Wright keeping full guard, as Lesnar tries to pass. Lesnar connects with a couple of short punches. Lesnar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wright swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lesnar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lesnar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lesnar wants to control from the top but Wright keeps moving. Lesnar postures up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lesnar scores with a takedown into Wright's guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Lesnar is stalling in the full guard. Wright keeping moving, preventing Lesnar from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar passes into half guard. Lesnar prevents Wright from improving his position. Lesnar is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lesnar trying to mount his opponent but Wright defends it. Wright blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lesnar. Lesnar is looking to take a break and control but Wright is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lesnar connects with a nice short shot to Wright's temple. Lesnar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Lesnar dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Lesnar shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wright is trying to defend but Lesnar finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Lesnar with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Wright looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lesnar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Lesnar stops Wright from getting back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lesnar lands with a punch from half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wright trying to hold on to Lesnar's head to control him but Lesnar postures up.
Lesnar working over Wright with some ground and pound. Wright looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Wright tries to kick Lesnar off but Lesnar keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Lesnar lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Wright is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar passes the guard and advances to mount! Wright takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Lesnar trying to control but Wright is having none of it. Lesnar pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wright is squirming around, avoiding Lesnar's attempts to control the action. Lesnar working the ground and pound effectively.
Lesnar working away from the top, dropping strikes. Wright wants to hold on but Lesnar pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lesnar lands with some strikes. Lesnar lands a nice shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Lesnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Lesnar looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Lesnar drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lesnar jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lesnar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Wright wants to stand up but Lesnar is controlling him. Wright utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wright being controlled here, momentarily. Wright looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar won't allow Wright to sweep him here. Wright is working hard here to advance position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Wright does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Lesnar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Lesnar trying to control the pace. Lesnar tries to pass to full mount but Wright defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wright wants to get back to his feet. Wright throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lesnar in particular looking to stall. Lesnar is looking to advance position but Wright won't allow it. Wright is trying to control but can't.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lesnar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wright napping and manages to drive through into side control! Lesnar in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Wright is looking for a sweep. Lesnar working the ground and pound but Wright is defending the strikes. Lesnar looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Wright is avoiding damage well.
Wright throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Shane Lesnar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wright tries to clinch up but Lesnar circles away and keeps his distance. Shane Lesnar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lesnar moves into the clinch. Lesnar has Wright pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Lesnar pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Wright tumbling to the mat - Lesnar dives into Wright's guard. Lesnar not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Lesnar tries to free his leg and advance position but Wright is retaining full guard. Brian Wright has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wright will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Wright throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! Shane Lesnar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lesnar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
