Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barclay Dredge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyler Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Barclay Dredge! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz shoots in but no luck this time. Diaz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dredge sprawls well initially but Diaz persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Diaz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dredge with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Diaz connects with a nice short shot to Dredge's temple. Diaz throwing shots but Dredge is blocking nicely. Dredge tries to kick Diaz off but Diaz keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Dredge kicks Diaz off and gets back to his feet. Diaz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Dredge throws a combination. Diaz tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Diaz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Diaz missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Diaz working the head and body with strikes. Dredge has one foot on Diaz's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Diaz ducks right into an uppercut from Dredge. Dredge connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Diaz momentarily.
Dredge lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Diaz at a distance.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Diaz working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Dredge's thigh. Dredge counters though and makes it back to full guard. Diaz is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz won't allow Dredge to get back to his feet. Diaz advances position into side control! Dredge wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Diaz tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Diaz is trying to ground and pound but Dredge uses the momentary lack of control by Diaz to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dredge avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Diaz. Diaz sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Dredge defending well though. Diaz with the ground and pound but Dredge uses the opportunity to regain guard. Dredge is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Diaz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dredge pulls his leg out and moves away.
Dredge scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Dredge lands a head shot. Dredge stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyler Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Diaz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dredge sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diaz somewhat. Dredge fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Diaz. The fighters circle momentarily. Dredge darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Dredge misses with a jab, cross combination.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dredge's corner calls for a 1-2. Dredge obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Tyler Diaz has been cut. Diaz tries to move into range but Dredge moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A punch lands to the side of Diaz 's head but he takes it in his stride. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Barclay Dredge dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tyler Diaz's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Diaz fails with the takedown. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dredge swats him away and circles back towards the center. Diaz tries to keep at a distance but Dredge has taken the fight into the clinch. Dredge breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dredge keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dredge scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Dredge tries to clinch but Diaz is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dredge connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Dredge lands with an uppercut that bounces Diaz off the cage and back into rage. Dredge lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Diaz backs up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dredge lands with a shot to the body. Dredge connects with a body shot. Barclay Dredge seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd cheers as Dredge lands an impressive looking overhand right. Diaz doesn't seem phased though. Dredge displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Jab, jab by Dredge - just one landing. Dredge lands a two punch combo.
Diaz drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dredge throws a one two combo.
Diaz is rocked! Dredge connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Diaz momentarily.
Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tyler Diaz's cut is getting worse. Diaz walks straight into a right hand from Dredge - that's dropped him! Dredge jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Diaz from any more punishment! Diaz complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Barclay Dredge!
