Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dong Chim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daisuke Shiga! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shiga darts in and clinches Chim up against the ropes. Shiga gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Chim.
Shiga has had enough of the clinch but Chim keeps him there for the moment. Shiga is trying to break free. Chim is trying to break the clinch but Shiga is controlling him. Chim misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Chim is looking to break free of the clinch but Shiga has double underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dong Chim. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chim has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Shiga is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Shiga is pressed up against the ropes. Chim has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shiga down to the mat. Shiga avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Shiga misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chim.
Chim looks to land a combination but Shiga avoids it well. Chim with a poor takedown and Shiga decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chim's guard. Chim is breathing heavily. Shiga decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chim shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shiga holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. The referee calls for Shiga to work.

Chim has Shiga pressed against the ropes, preventing Shiga from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Chim keeps control of Shiga as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Shiga lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Chim backwards. Shiga is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Chim tries to break the clinch but Shiga is controlling the position. Chim being controlled against the ropes. Shiga receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Daisuke Shiga. Left hook, right uppercut from Chim.

That's one minute gone in the round. Shiga is looking to break free of the clinch but Chim has double underhooks. Chim tries to score a body lock takedown but Shiga shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Shiga drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Chim wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shiga has him pressed against the ropes. Shiga pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Chim leaves Shiga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Chim doesn't succeed with the takedown and Shiga counters by moving into the clinch. Shiga slowing the pace effectively. A frustrated look appears on Chim's face as he tries to break the clinch. Chim wants a takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Shiga displaying some good clinch control by pressing Chim up against the ropes. Shiga tries to break the clinch but Chim is controlling the position. Shiga is trying to break free. Chim misses with a short punch on the inside. Chim breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shiga is looking to clinch. Shiga swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Shiga prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chim breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Shiga clinches up against the ropes. Shiga pushes Chim back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch. Shiga taking a breather. Shiga lands with a light punch inside. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Shiga. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Daisuke Shiga. Chim shoots in for a double leg but Shiga sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Shiga throws a left and a right that both miss
and Chim counters with a takedown into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chim is trying to get an arm triangle but Shiga is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Daisuke Shiga will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Daisuke Shiga's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Shiga keeping full guard, as Chim tries to pass. Shiga is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chim is controlling him. Shiga keeping moving, preventing Chim from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Shiga drives through and clinches with Chim against the ropes.

Chim takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Shiga closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Shiga taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Shiga manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Chim stops Shiga from standing up. Chim drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chim jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Chim prevents Shiga from getting back to his feet. Shiga keeping moving, preventing Chim from controlling successfully. Chim tries to free his leg and advance position but Shiga is retaining full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Daisuke Shiga comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Shiga winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
