Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Macanori Romi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tri Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Angle comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Why we thugs kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angle has a takedown stuffed.
Angle looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Romi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Angle.
Romi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Angle is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Angle has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Romi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Angle.

Romi cracks Angle with a big right hand but Angle just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Romi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Angle is trying to defend but Romi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Romi connects with a nice short shot to Angle's temple.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Romi throws a leg kick that misses.
Romi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Romi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Angle gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Angle is bucking up trying to escape but Romi cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Romi is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Angle can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Romi is stalling here but it's allowed Angle to get half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Romi is pressing down on Angle's thigh, looking to free his foot. Angle is holding on for now.

Romi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Romi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Well Romi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
