Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Jacko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Devine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Jacko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damian Devine!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jacko gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jacko keeps control of Devine as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Jacko is working for takedown but Devine is calmly controlling the position for now.

Jacko manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Devine trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Jacko had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Devine is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jacko Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Devine's back instead.
Devine tries to escape but Jacko has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Devine defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

Jacko has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Devine has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Devine manages to reverse the position and now he's in Jacko's guard. Nice work there by Devine.
Devine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jacko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jacko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Devine gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Devine works over Jacko with some ground and pound from guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Devine looking to sit in guard and control but Jacko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jacko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Devine controls Jacko momentarily but Jacko frees himself.

Devine looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Devine controls Jacko momentarily but Jacko frees himself.
Devine wants to sweep here but Jacko controlling him for the moment.
Jacko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jacko passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Jacko is breathing heavily.

Jacko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Devine knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Devine gets back to half guard.

Jacko is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Devine looking for submissions off his back.
Devine is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jacko's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jacko's back!
Devine is landing with strikes from the back.
A lull in the action here.
Devine scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Jacko is trying to break free.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Devine has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Jacko.
Jacko breaks Devine's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Jacko drops back looking for a leg! Devine is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Devine manages to kick Jacko off! Jacko jumps back into Devine's guard.
Jacko slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Jacko working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Jacko is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Devine has escaped the position, nice work there.
Devine throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Jacko is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Devine is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Devine pushes Jacko away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jacko gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jacko advances to mount.

Devine defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jacko.
Jacko prevents Devine from getting the reversal.
Devine is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Jacko has taken his back.
Devine is really stuck here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Jacko dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Jacko fails in his attempt to clinch.
James Jacko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jacko fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jacko keeps control of Devine as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Devine gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jacko.
Devine tries to break the clinch but Jacko is controlling the position.
Devine prevents a takedown attempt there.

Jacko turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Devine looks to move to half guard but instead Jacko has passed into mount! Damn!
Devine working to try and regain half guard.
Devine is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Devine gets back to half guard.
Devine is trying to get back to full guard.

Jacko is looking for a kimura but Devine is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jacko to get the leverage.
Devine is looking to improve his position.
Jacko passes the guard and advances to mount!

Jacko is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Devine is surviving well by controlling Jacko's body position as best he can.

Devine defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jacko.
Devine has given up his back. Will we see Jacko going for some submissions?

Jacko has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Devine! Can he survive? No! He's out! Jacko gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
