Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frade Francke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Spyridon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frade Francke has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frade Francke ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Leon Spyridon! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Francke drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spyridon is trying to get back to half guard. Francke tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Francke tries for a kimura but Spyridon is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Francke tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Francke has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Francke tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Spyridon manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Francke passes to full mount! Francke is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Spyridon has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Spyridon! Spyridon stopping the sweep attempt from Francke . Francke working for a triangle but Spyridon defends it easily.
Francke looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Francke manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Spyridon manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Francke advances to half guard. Spyridon tries to get to full guard but Francke has control of the leg. Francke is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Spyridon sees it coming and defends easily. Francke seems to be working for a kimura but Spyridon defends the submission attempt. Francke is breathing heavily. Francke works his way into full mount! Francke is working for a guillotine from mount but Spyridon frees his head quite easily.
Spyridon tries to reverse the position but Francke maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Francke jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Spyridon manages to avoid the submission attempt. Spyridon regains half guard. Francke moves nicely into side control. Francke wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Spyridon, who protects the arm well. Francke working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spyridon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Francke 's best efforts. Spyridon works his way to full guard. Good work. Francke drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Francke jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Spyridon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Francke can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Francke advances position into side control! Spyridon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Francke wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frade Francke dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Spyridon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Francke passes Spyridon's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Spyridon actively working from the bottom here. Francke is looking for a kimura but Spyridon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Francke to get the leverage. Francke frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Francke working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Francke looking for a guillotine from mount but Spyridon is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Francke has control of Spyridon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Spyridon regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spyridon defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Francke . Francke looking to isolate an arm here. Spyridon doesn't see it coming and as Francke extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Francke !
