Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between G P (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Snake Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Korn - Lets Do This Now as his entrance music. G P has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, G P! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Snake Jones! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! P shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jones gets the takedown into side control. Jones misses with the ground and pound. P parries the strikes from Jones easily there. Jones is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable P to escape.
P is looking to reverse the position. P wants to get back to his feet but Jones drags him back down. P taking a bit of punishment here - Jones scoring with strikes. P sneaks back into half guard. Jones looks gassed! P moves into full guard.
Jones looking to sit in guard and control but P gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. P trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jones's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones keeping moving, preventing P from controlling successfully. P tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard. P slips nicely into half guard. P looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
P thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones is defending against the submission attempts here by P.
P works his way into side control. P is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jones's shoulder. That is not cool. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. P lands some shots froms side control. P wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jones, who protects the arm well. P working the head and body with strikes. P is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jones knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. P stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. P fails with a takedown attempt. P tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. P fights it but they end up in guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for G P. That's going to take a lot out of him. P looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there. P looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
P pushes Jones off and gets back to his feet.
P pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Snake Jones will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
P shoots and misses and Jones counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in P's guard now. P wants to stand and escape but Jones is having none of it. Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. P keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. Jones is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there. P trying to control the position.
Jones throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but P is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. P is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. P trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. P gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. P is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Jones is trying to drag P to the mat but P just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. P breaks from the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. P throwing strikes but missing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. P trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones wants to stand and escape but P is having none of it. P is pushing down on Jones's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jones is fighting to maintain full guard but P has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's three minutes gone in the round. P landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Jones wants to control but P is keeping busy.
P lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. P lands with a punch from half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with P. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. P wants to work for an arm triangle but Jones is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. P is trying to control the action in half guard but Jones is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jones tries to roll over but P keeps him under control. P looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. P trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. P drops an elbow to the side of Jones's head. That was a close second round but I would say that G P will probably get the nod. That's time! P's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
A left and a right from P both land. Nice combination. Jones throws a combination that misses and P counters by clinching up. P tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jones smiles and moves away.
P with a lazy takedown attempt and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. P preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. P bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard. P wants to stand and escape but instead Jones has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as P works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jones throwing strikes but missing. P working for a triangle but Jones defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to control from the top but P keeps moving. Jones is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Snake Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. P looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for P on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for G P. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but P circles away. P tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from P, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. P looks to land a combination. Jones sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. P scores with a leg kick.
P stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and P wants it to stay on the feet. P misses with a jab, cross combination.
P throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range. P throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily. P throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jones's head. P moves into range and clinches up with Jones. P's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. P misses with the combination.
Jones scores a takedown into full mount! P takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Snake Jones. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
