Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Amir Sultanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dario Nitiguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sultanov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is No Vaseline. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dario Nitiguchi! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sultanov scores with a nice right hand.
Sultanov is looking to clinch but Nitiguchi is avoiding it.
Nitiguchi tries to clinch but fails miserably and Sultanov counters by moving into the clinch. Nitiguchi trying to land knees to the body.

That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sultanov moves in looking to clinch but Nitiguchi pushes him off. Nitiguchi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sultanov tries to clinch there but Nitiguchi circles away.
Sultanov thuds his right hand into Nitiguchi's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Nitiguchi shoots for a double leg takedown but Sultanov sprawls well. He's pushed Nitiguchi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Amir Sultanov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Nitiguchi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Sultanov tries to hold on but Nitiguchi postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nitiguchi lands a big shot there that rocks Sultanov but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nitiguchi trying to control but he's not successful this time. Nitiguchi prevents Sultanov from getting the reversal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Amir Sultanov will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Good anticipation by Sultanov. Nitiguchi fails to pull guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sultanov is looking to control Nitiguchi's arms but Nitiguchi gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sultanov has his back to the cage. Nitiguchi is trying to maintain a safe position but Sultanov gets an underhook and turns Nitiguchi into the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sultanov manages to break the clinch.
Nitiguchi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sultanov's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sultanov is trying is best to control the position here. Sultanov tries to kick Nitiguchi off but Nitiguchi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Nitiguchi wants to stand up but Sultanov has a hold of him and won't allow it. Sultanov trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nitiguchi prevents Sultanov from improving his position. Nitiguchi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Nitiguchi closes the distance and clinches up with Sultanov, looking for a takedown. Nitiguchi pushes Sultanov against the cage but Sultanov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sultanov has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nitiguchi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sultanov smiles and moves away.

Nitiguchi tries to clinch up and Sultanov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nitiguchi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nitiguchi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Sultanov wants to get up but he can't break Nitiguchi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Nitiguchi is working an open guard so Sultanov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Sultanov moves into the clinch. Sultanov missing with knees to the body.

He's got his arms around Sultanov's waist but Sultanov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nitiguchi off to one side. Nitiguchi tries to clinch but Sultanov moves out of range. Sultanov is looking to clinch but Nitiguchi is avoiding it.

Sultanov throws a right and a left that Nitiguchi avoids nicely. Sultanov keeps the fight on the outside. No joy there for Sultanov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Nitiguchi is still in real trouble! Can Sultanov finish him? Sultanov throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Sultanov wants to control the pace but Nitiguchi is squirming around nicely. Nitiguchi is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Nitiguchi seems to have recovered his senses. Nitiguchi keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sultanov sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Nitiguchi regains half guard. Dario Nitiguchi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sultanov content to control rather than advance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nitiguchi tries to roll over but Sultanov keeps him under control.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Amir Sultanov. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sultanov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
