Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles Carr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lazarus Slade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Carr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Lazarus Slade! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carr misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Carr misses with a body kick. Carr looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Carr fails in his attempt to clinch. Carr tries to score with a low kick but Slade moves his leg out of the way. Carr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Slade's waist but Slade gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carr off to one side. Carr throws a jab but it's blocked by Slade. Slade lands with a nice body punch. Slade slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Carr fails in his attempt to clinch. Slade ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Slade scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Nice body punch from Slade. Carr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Slade scores with a body shot.
Slade thuds his right hand into Carr's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Carr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Slade swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slade shoots in and bounces Carr off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Slade looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Slade's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Slade trying to control the position from guard on top but Carr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Slade stands and throws Carr's legs to the side, diving into side control. Slade moves into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carr has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Slade is cranking Carr's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Carr! He's tightened the choke and Carr is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Lazarus Slade!
