The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round but I would say that Max Pain will probably get the nod.

Pain works to advance to full mount. Assassin defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Assassin really wants to buck Pain off and get back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

You get the feeling that Assassin really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Assassin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Pain has hold of Assassin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Assassin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Pain has control of Assassin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Assassin regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Assassin wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Pain is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Assassin has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Pain is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Assassin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Assassin shrugs it off.
Assassin is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Pain is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Assassin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Pain looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Assassin is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Assassin is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Assassin tries to hold on but Pain pushes him away.

Assassin has left one of his arms exposed and Pain doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Assassin screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
