Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul Wall!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wall tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vera paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Some wild striking there from Wall.
Vera wants to clinch but Wall slips to the side
so Wall counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wall got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wall has managed to get both his arms back between Vera's legs - danger averted.
Vera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wall's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Vera has his foot on Wall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wall works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wall has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Vera to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Wall is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Vera pulls down on the head and he's put Wall to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Austin Vera!
