Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dana Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Copeland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Era-Enea Vollare Mezzo. Copeland is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Come To Life. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dana Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Copeland! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie shoots in and drives through. Copeland sprawls well. Dana Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Copeland drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Copeland is aware though and is defending well. Copeland must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Copeland doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Copeland manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Copeland really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Copeland gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Copeland controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Copeland is aware though and is defending well. Gracie is looking for a triangle but Copeland pushes his legs off easily.
Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Copeland defends it easily. Gracie is breathing heavily. Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Copeland doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Copeland manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gracie being controlled here, momentarily. I looks like Copeland might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Copeland defends easily.
Copeland slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dana Gracie will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Copeland. Gracie tries to improve position but can't. Copeland moves into full mount! Gracie really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jason Copeland just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown and Copeland counters with a single leg into guard. Gracie didn't expect that.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Copeland can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gracie is looking for a triangle but Copeland pushes his legs off easily.

Jason Copeland showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
