The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Beane lands an impressive looking overhand right. Barksdale doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Omar Barksdale has been cut.
Barksdale takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Beane tries a head kick but it misses.
Beane throws a head kick but Barksdale moves out of range.
Beane throws a looping overhand right but Barksdale ducks down to avoid it.
Beane throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Barksdale fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Barksdale is looking to clinch but Beane is avoiding it.
Barksdale wants to clinch.
Beane keeps the fight on the outside.
Beane looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Barksdale uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Beane.
The fight stays on the outside here - Barksdale looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Barksdale tries to clinch but Beane moves out of range.
Beane is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Barksdale.

Barksdale seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beane does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Barksdale tries to clinch there but Beane circles away.
Barksdale thows a body shot but no joy.
Beane is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Beane waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Barksdale.
Beane stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Steve Beane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Barksdale shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Barksdale throws a sloppy head kick and Beane moves out of range easily.

Beane fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Barksdale to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Barksdale looks to clinch but Beane throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Barksdale taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
