The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura closes the distance and clinches up with Fox, looking for a takedown. Nakamura pushes Fox against the cage but Fox circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fox throws a jab but it's blocked by Nakamura.
Fox tries to clinch up.
Red Fox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fox throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fox tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nakamura paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fox tries to clinch but Nakamura moves out of range.
A swing and a miss from Fox.
Fox is looking to clinch but Nakamura is avoiding it.

Fox moves into the clinch successfully.
Nakamura blocking some punches.
Fox is leaning against Nakamura and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Nakamura tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fox smiles and moves away.
Nakamura avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Nakamura shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Fox wants to control but Nakamura is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Fox gets back to full guard.

Nakamura drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nakamura jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Fox is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nakamura drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fox looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fox looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fox!
Nakamura wants to control but Fox postures up.
Fox wants to control but Nakamura is keeping him busy.
Fox postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fox tries to move into full mount but can't pass Nakamura's legs.
Fox creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Nakamura sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Fox is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Nakamura tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fox tries to move into full mount but can't pass Nakamura's legs.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fox throws a hook but Nakamura avoids it easily.
Fox looks to score with a jab to the body but Nakamura is just out of range.
A big left from Fox misses.
Fox misses with a wild body shot.
Fox is looking to clinch.
Nakamura takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Nakamura tries to move into range but Fox moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

It looks like Kazushi Nakamura has been cut.
Fox throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nakamura stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fox is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Nakamura's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Nakamura looks gassed!
Fox misses with a wild body shot.
Fox fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nakamura manages to avoid it.
Nakamura throws a right and a left that both miss.
A telegraphed right hand from Fox misses the target.
Fox defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nakamura.
Red Fox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazushi Nakamura.
Fox is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Fox throws a looping overhand right but Nakamura ducks down to avoid it.

Fox sends Nakamura crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Fox is motioning to the referee to let Nakamura up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Nakamura is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nakamura switches off momentarily and Fox cracks him with a monster right hand! Nakamura topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Fox dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Fox!
