Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Righty McMulligan!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMulligan misses with a jab, cross combination.

Cronic forces McMulligan back against the cage and clinches.

Cronic gets control of McMulligan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cronic will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Cronic is controlling McMulligan's posture.
McMulligan trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Cronic wants to stand up but McMulligan is controlling him.

Cronic is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
McMulligan lands a with a good body shot.

Cronic shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McMulligan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Cronic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McMulligan on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McMulligan looking for a guillotine here but Cronic defends easily.
McMulligan will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
McMulligan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Cronic controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

McMulligan is looking for a triangle but Cronic pushes his legs off easily.
McMulligan keeping moving, preventing Cronic from controlling successfully.

Cronic tries to free his leg and advance position but McMulligan is retaining full guard.
Cronic trying to control the position from guard on top but McMulligan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Cronic has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

McMulligan is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Cronic has his hands clasped together but McMulligan extends an breaks Cronic's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by McMulligan.
