Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carter Pewterschmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Loka Shawn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pewterschmidt's entrance music is 7 Words. A fine choice. Shawn has chosen Argy Bargy as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Loka Shawn enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carter Pewterschmidt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Loka Shawn! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pewterschmidt lands with an uppercut that bounces Shawn off the cage and back into rage. Shawn scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Pewterschmidt moves out of range as Shawn strikes. Pewterschmidt dodges the punch combination from Shawn.

Nice work. Pewterschmidt tries to pass to full mount but Shawn defends it. Shawn misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Shawn is trying to stand back up but Pewterschmidt is controlling him

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Pewterschmidt lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Shawn! Pewterschmidt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Shawn tries to buck Pewterschmidt off but he can't manage it. Pewterschmidt throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Shawn because Pewterschmidt loaded up on that one. Pewterschmidt can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Shawn is looking to escape. Shawn is looking to get to half guard. Pewterschmidt trying to control but Shawn is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Shawn tries to hold on but Pewterschmidt pushes him away. Pewterschmidt looking to control but Shawn is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Shawn's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? Shawn falls off balance throwing a combination
and Pewterschmidt counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Pewterschmidt steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Shawn. Shawn throws a left and a right that both miss
so Pewterschmidt counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Pewterschmidt distracts Shawn with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Pewterschmidt is in close to Shawn's body, working some short punches and elbows. Shawn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Shawn wants to stand and escape but Pewterschmidt is having none of it. Shawn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pewterschmidt trying to control the position from guard on top but Shawn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shawn keeping full guard, as Pewterschmidt tries to pass. Pewterschmidt lands a couple of decent looking shots. Pewterschmidt wants to control from the top but Shawn keeps moving. Carter Pewterschmidt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pewterschmidt throws a strike but Shawn rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Pewterschmidt trying to keep a closed guard but Shawn is proving a slippery customer.

Shawn gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Shawn throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee asks Pewterschmidt politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Pewterschmidt prefers to stall for the moment though.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Carter Pewterschmidt just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Shawn fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Shawn pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Pewterschmidt uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Shawn has time to react. Shawn throws a hook but Pewterschmidt blocks it. Shawn thuds a left hand into Pewterschmidt's body. Shawn wants to clinch up but Pewterschmidt keeps it at a distance. Shawn lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Shawn tries to clinch up and Pewterschmidt counters with a lovely shot to the body. And that's the end of the fight! Carter Pewterschmidt showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pewterschmidt, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
