Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gary Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Rice!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee swinging wildly here.
Lee misses with a series of wild punches.
Rice lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Rice throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lee finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A nice combination there by Lee.
Rice pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lee showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rice.
Rice moves out of range as Lee throws a body kick.
Lee throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lee, right into the meat.
Lee throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rice counters with a one-two to the body.
No joy there for Lee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lee will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A punch combination from Lee misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Rice counters with a head kick that drops Lee to the mat! Lee scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Lee is rocked!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Rice throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Lee is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). John Rice!
