PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Silly Goose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and fred bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Silly Goose! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, fred bob! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! bob looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Goose! Goose gets back to half guard. Goose is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but bob pulls his head out easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Goose blocking the ground and pound attempt from bob. Goose is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but bob pulls his head out easily. bob wants to control but Goose is keeping him busy. Goose is trying to get back to full guard. bob seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Goose does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Goose is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. bob wants to lay and pray for a moment but Goose keeps working.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by bob. bob trying to control the action but Goose is working from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Goose is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. bob tries to advance to mount but Goose denies him. Goose gets back to half guard. Goose makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Goose. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. bob avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Goose will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. bob trying to control but Goose is working from the bottom. Goose being controlled here, momentarily. bob looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. bob tries to free his leg and advance position but Goose is retaining full guard. bob really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goose. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Goose keeping moving, preventing bob from controlling successfully. Goose looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Goose escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. bob gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. bob stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goose swivels though and keeps the full guard. bob not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

bob slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. bob stopping the sweep attempt from Goose. Goose has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but bob can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Goose looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goose has his foot on bob's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. bob works his way back into a safe position though. bob got a little sloppy there for a moment and Goose has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, bob has managed to get both his arms back between Goose's legs - danger averted. bob sitting in guard here, content to control. bob wants to control from the top but Goose keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. bob shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Goose manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. bob is posturing up here but Goose has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! bob tries to roll out but it's too tight and bob has to tap! Slick submission there by Goose!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Silly Goose!
