Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Suta Nagasuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Suta Nagasuka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Quinton Jackson! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nagasuka closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jackson circles away. Jackson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nagasuka counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nagasuka. Nagasuka slips nicely into half guard. Nagasuka decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Nagasuka fails with the takedown and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Nagasuka is not content to let Jackson control the position. Nagasuka pushes Jackson off looking to stand but Jackson dives back in and keeps control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Jackson looks gassed! Jackson wants to advance to full mount but Nagasuka doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Nagasuka could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Nagasuka throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Jackson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Nagasuka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nagasuka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nagasuka swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nagasuka wants to get back to his feet but Jackson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Nagasuka wants to sweep but no luck. Nagasuka keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Nagasuka.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson gets the takedown into side control. Nagasuka sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Jackson is trying to control. Nagasuka wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Nagasuka is trying to stand.

That's going to take a lot out of him. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nagasuka is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Nagasuka missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Nagasuka throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nagasuka prevents Jackson from standing back up.

Quinton Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far. Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nagasuka swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nagasuka escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Nagasuka has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though. Jackson wants to control from the top but Nagasuka keeps moving.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nagasuka wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jackson, who protects the arm well.

Nagasuka thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Nagasuka shoots and misses and Jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nagasuka's guard. Nagasuka throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Nagasuka will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Suta Nagasuka has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Quinton Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nagasuka is looking to regain half guard here but Jackson keeps moving and retains side control.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Quinton Jackson. Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
