Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joelson Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Campos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Joelson Nunes has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Joelson Nunes seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nunes lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Nunes dives in and grabs Campos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Campos pushes down on Nunes's head and hops out.
Nice sprawl there from Nunes as Campos shoots in.
Campos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nunes is fending him off so far but Campos persists. Nope, Nunes circles away and we're back to standing.

and Campos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Nunes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Campos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Campos trying to control the position from guard on top but Nunes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nunes wants to sweep here but Campos controlling him for the moment.

Nunes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Nunes instigates a clinch.
Campos drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nunes pulls his leg out and moves away.
Joelson Nunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucas Campos.

Campos throws a strike but Nunes rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
No joy there for Nunes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Joelson Nunes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nunes drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Nunes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Campos swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Campos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nunes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Campos is tightening it up a little... Nunes has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Nunes reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Nunes taps out! nice BJJ there by Campos!
