Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Koch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max McRiot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McRiot is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Insomnium - The Killjoy. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Koch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McRiot moves forwards but Koch connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Koch just misses with a punch to the body.
McRiot ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Koch cracks McRiot with an open hand slap.

Koch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McRiot manages to avoid it.

A looping hook to the body misses from Koch. McRiot does a little dance to reset his feet.
Koch looks to land a combination but McRiot avoids it well.
McRiot drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

McRiot throws an elbow but Koch slips to the side and avoids it well.
McRiot tries to move to mount but Koch blocks the move with his legs.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McRiot lands a decent elbow from side control.

McRiot looking for a submission but Koch manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Koch looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! McRiot has picked Koch up and slammed him! Koch can't keep hold of the triangle and McRiot manages to pass to side control!
McRiot content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
