The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flanery is looking to clinch but McLovin is avoiding it.

Flanery shoots in for a double leg but McLovin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Let's hope that McLovin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A jab-cross combination lands for McLovin and sends Flanery crashing to the mat! McLovin follows him down to the mat - Flanery regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
