Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between R J MacReady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Minard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minard has chosen Walk as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, R J MacReady! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Liam Minard! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacReady throws a right and a left that Minard avoids nicely. A combination from MacReady does no damage. Minard is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. MacReady gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Minard to score an easy takedown into full guard. Minard is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Minard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Minard stands up over MacReady, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Minard throwing strikes but missing. Minard controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Minard won't allow MacReady to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minard's corner is telling him to maintain position. Minard looking to sit in guard and control but MacReady gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. MacReady postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. MacReady working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Minard lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for MacReady! Minard misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
MacReady tries to lock up and control but Minard gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Minard trying to control but MacReady is having none of it. Minard looking to ground and pound but MacReady is blocking nicely. Minard lands with some vicious ground and pound - can MacReady hang on?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minard takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Minard sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! MacReady is squirming around, avoiding Minard's attempts to control the action. MacReady manages to regain half guard. Good work. Minard has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. MacReady is staying active underneath Minard, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Minard trying to advance position but MacReady counters by regaining guard. Minard looking to sit in guard and control but MacReady gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Minard looking for a sweep. Not yet Minard, not yet. MacReady wanted to stand there but Minard had control of the position. MacReady with a flurry of punches that miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Liam Minard dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Minard keeps the fight on the outside. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Minard. MacReady fails in his attempt to clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Minard is defended easily by MacReady. Minard bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Minard scores with a crisp jab that stopped MacReady in his tracks. MacReady misses with a straight left. R J MacReady is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Minard lands with a shot to the body. MacReady tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Minard's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Minard duly obliges. MacReady lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Minard circles away quickly and effectively. MacReady misses with a takedown attempt and Minard counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Minard wants to advance to full mount but MacReady doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Minard throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as MacReady works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. MacReady keeping moving, preventing Minard from controlling successfully. MacReady working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Minard. Minard trying to control the position from guard on top but MacReady is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. MacReady utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Minard is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Minard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. MacReady is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. MacReady tries to clinch but Minard moves away and Minard counters with a nice uppercut. Minard lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. MacReady gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Minard. Minard tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but MacReady swivels and escapes. R J MacReady has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liam Minard. Minard looking for a takedown here - he's got it. MacReady not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Minard landing with the ground and pound. Minard advances to half guard. Minard sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. MacReady defending well though. Minard content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minard passes to side control. Minard looking to punish the body of his opponent here but MacReady is avoiding damage well.
Minard is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. MacReady looks calm but he's in trouble here. Minard gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. MacReady is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Minard lets go of the hold and MacReady can pop his arm back in it's socket.
