Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Winchester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darryl Roez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winchester kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is God's Gonna Cut You Down. Roez has chosen It means alot to me as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Winchester! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darryl Roez! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roez fails in his attempt to clinch. Winchester misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Winchester misses with a body kick. Winchester wants to clinch. A solid leg kick lands there for Winchester.
Roez checks a low kick from Winchester. Roez looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Roez works a leg free and moves into half guard. Winchester knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roez on the ground. Roez throwing shots but Winchester is blocking nicely. Roez seems to be working for a kimura but Winchester defends the submission attempt. Winchester has hold of Roez's hands but Roez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Roez is working for a kimura but Winchester is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roez thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Winchester's head. Roez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Winchester defends it well. Winchester wants to control but Roez is keeping busy and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roez working the head and body with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Roez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Roez looks gassed! Roez prevents Winchester from standing back up.
Roez working Winchester over with strikes. Roez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Winchester doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Roez. Winchester trying to hold on to Roez's head to control him but Roez postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winchester wants to improve his position but Roez is controlling well.
Winchester is trying to maintain the position but Roez is very close to passing his half guard. Roez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Winchester is looking for a sweep. Roez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Winchester throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Winchester with a poor takedown and Roez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Roez stops Winchester from standing up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Roez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Winchester trying to control the position.
Roez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Winchester working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Roez. Roez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Winchester wants to sweep here but Roez controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darryl Roez dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Roez fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Winchester lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Roez circles away quickly and effectively. Winchester closes the distance and clinches. Roez takes a knee right on the jaw!
Roez tries to pull guard but Winchester holds him up against the cage and eventually Roez drops back down to his feet.
Winchester drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Winchester looking to slow down the pace here. Winchester is working for takedown but Roez is calmly controlling the position for now. Roez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Winchester gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Sam Winchester has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darryl Roez. Winchester tries to pull guard but Roez holds him up against the cage and eventually Winchester drops back down to his feet.
Winchester tries to throw a body punch but Roez avoids it by throwing Winchester back against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Roez prevents Winchester from breaking the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Winchester avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Winchester is trying to force a seperation but Roez has the dominant position. Winchester pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Winchester tries to bum rush Roez with a series of wild strikes but Roez uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Winchester displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Roez. Roez has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Roez gets a takedown into half guard. Winchester is trying to get back to full guard. Roez is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Winchester defends it well. Roez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Winchester wants to control but Roez is keeping busy.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Roez not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darryl Roez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

The fighters roll with the hold and Winchester manages to kick Roez off! Roez jumps back into Winchester's guard. Roez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Roez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Winchester is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winchester pushes Roez off and gets back to his feet.

Winchester shoots for a takedown but Roez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice sprawl there from Winchester as Roez shoots in. Winchester gets in close and instigates a clinch. A short uppercut from Winchester. Winchester is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Roez pulls Winchester into guard.
Roez is pulling down on Winchester's head to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Winchester trying to control but Roez is working from the bottom. Winchester prevents Roez from getting back to his feet. Winchester will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winchester postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Winchester has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Roez is proving hard to escape from. Sam Winchester has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Roez looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
And that's the end of the fight! Darryl Roez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Roez winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
