Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quinton Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Jones! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Jackson shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson. Jackson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Jones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Jackson tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Jackson tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jones is working to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones manages to regain half guard. Good work. Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jones throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jones landing strikes from the bottom. Jackson is breathing heavily. Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jones manages to get to full guard.
Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there. Jones is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Jackson frees his head nicely. Oh but Jones has switched to an armbar! Jackson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
