Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ivan Curcic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rob Demoman! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Curcic shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Curcic closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Demoman to the mat! Demoman manages to get full guard. Demoman seems keen to control Curcic's posture. Curcic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Demoman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Curcic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Demoman wants to sweep but no luck. Demoman seems keen to control Curcic's posture. Curcic thows a big elbow that misses. Curcic throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Curcic won't allow Demoman to sweep him here. Curcic trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Curcic shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Demoman but Demoman pushes him off and we're back to square one. Demoman tries for a takedown but Curcic circles away easily and Curcic counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Demoman's guard now. Demoman looks gassed! Curcic wants to control from the top but Demoman keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Curcic preventing the sweep. Demoman keeping moving, preventing Curcic from controlling successfully. Curcic has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Curcic wants to pass the guard but Demoman is keeping the position. Demoman managing to control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Curcic closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Demoman to the mat! Demoman manages to get full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Demoman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Curcic tries to free his leg and advance position but Demoman is retaining full guard. Demoman wants to hit a switch here but Curcic passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Demoman there! Demoman is wriggling around trying to escape.
Demoman wants to control but Curcic is having none of it. Curcic trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Demoman tries to hold on but Curcic pushes him away. Demoman is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Demoman is in all sorts of trouble here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Demoman can do anything to dispel that myth. Demoman holds on, trying desperately to control. Demoman can't escape the position.
Demoman wants to hold on but Curcic pushes him away. A nice elbow there by Curcic. Curcic throwing strikes here but Demoman is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Demoman is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Curcic really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Curcic punishing his opponent with strikes. Curcic trying to control but Demoman is having none of it. Demoman tries to reverse the position but Curcic maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Demoman is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Curcic. Demoman just content to control the position. Demoman lands a decent elbow from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Curcic prevents Demoman from improving position. Demoman scoring with punches from side control. Curcic is working to avoid the ground and pound but Demoman connects with a decent elbow. Curcic takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Curcic pushes Demoman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Demoman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Demoman working the body and head with strikes. That's three minutes gone in the round. Demoman lands a few punches from side control. Demoman lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Curcic down.
Demoman takes a little break here. Curcic wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Curcic takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Demoman grinds an elbow into Curcic's temple. Curcic tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Demoman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Demoman working the body and head with strikes. Curcic is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Curcic tries to improve position but can't. Demoman scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Curcic to see if he's OK. Demoman works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Demoman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Curcic tries to improve position but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Demoman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Demoman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Demoman is in close to Curcic's body, working some short punches and elbows. Demoman working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Demoman controls from within his opponent's guard. Curcic has momentary wrist control but Demoman slips an elbow through the middle.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Demoman performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Demoman slips a nice elbow through Curcic's hands, connecting with Curcic's forehead. Well, if Demoman is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Despite being in the dominant position, Rob Demoman just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Demoman gets a takedown into half guard. Curcic keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Demoman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Demoman is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Demoman is taking a breather. Curcic says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Demoman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
And that's the end of the fight! Rob Demoman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Demoman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
