Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Walt Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenshiro Yamada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walt Kowalski could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kenshiro Yamada's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Walt Kowalski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenshiro Yamada! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kowalski throws the left hand but Yamada avoids the punch easily. Kowalski tries to bum rush Yamada with a series of wild strikes but Yamada uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kowalski walks into a jab.
It looks like Walt Kowalski has been cut. Kowalski clinches up against the cage. Yamada scores with an uppercut up the middle. Kowalski is trying to break the clinch but Yamada has him pressed against the cage. Yamada manages to break the clinch.
Kowalski looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kowalski ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Yamada staying out of range there. Yamada throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Yamada throws out a loose jab but Kowalski uses good head movement to avoid it. Yamada wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Yamada ducks under a wild hook from Kowalski. Kowalski tries to clinch there but Yamada circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Yamada getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Kowalski ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kowalski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kenshiro Yamada is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Yamada walks into a jab. Yamada defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kowalski. Yamada throws a right and a left that both miss. Horrible takedown by Kowalski or perhaps it was just good defense by Yamada which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Walt Kowalski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kowalski fails with a takedown attempt. Yamada clobbers Kowalski with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Yamada misses with a double jab.
Kowalski throws a right hand that Yamada ducks under and follows up with a left that Yamada also avoids with ease. Yamada throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kowalski sees it coming and avoids it easily. Yamada steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kowalski. Kowalski throws out a leg kick but Yamada moves out of range and Kowalski only half commits. Kowalski tries to clinch but Yamada moves out of range. Yamada misses with a double jab
and Kowalski counters with a stiff right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kowalski has Yamada up against the cage in a clinch.

Yamada catches Kowalski with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Yamada leaves Kowalski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yamada works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Yamada throws a nice looking combination but Kowalski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kowalski ducks right into an uppercut from Yamada. Yamada wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Kowalski is breathing heavily. Kowalski fails in his attempt to clinch. Yamada scores with a nice head shot. Yamada throws a hook but Kowalski avoids it easily. Yamada misses with a few strikes there.

Yamada throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kowalski.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kowalski slips under a jab. Kowalski pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kowalski takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Yamada loads up on a big right hand but Kowalski slips the punch. Yamada misses with a two punch combination.
Kowalski takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kowalski misses with a straight left. Yamada will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kowalski avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Yamada takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kowalski. Kowalski takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Kowalski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yamada manages to avoid it. Yamada throws a right and a left that Kowalski avoids nicely. Nice body punch from Yamada.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yamada lands a body shot.
Yamada throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Yamada connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Yamada throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kowalski counters with a left and a right that stings Yamada. This has been an exciting period of action! Yamada swats away the attempt to clinch by Kowalski. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kowalski lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Yamada has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Yamada and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Yamada displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kowalski. Kowalski takes one to the chin there. Yamada works Kowalski's body with a nice hook. Kowalski shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Yamada throws a nice looking combination but Kowalski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Yamada wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Yamada lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kowalski circles away quickly and effectively. Yamada misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kowalski.
Yamada throws a looping overhand right but Kowalski ducks down to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenshiro Yamada dominated that round. The cut man is working on Walt Kowalski's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kowalski has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kowalski there as he acknowledges the shot. Kowalski tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yamada swats him away and circles back towards the center. Yamada misses with a wild combination.
Kowalski takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Yamada throws a body punch but Kowalski moves out of range. Yamada ducks under a wild hook from Kowalski. Yamada swinging wildly here.
Kowalski dives in and grabs Yamada's left leg, looking for a takedown. Yamada pushes down on Kowalski's head and hops out. Kowalski wants to clinch up but Yamada keeps it at a distance. Kowalski misses with a few strikes there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kowalski throws a front kick aimed at Yamada's knee but Yamada avoids it well. Kowalski scores with a jab to the head.
Kowalski misses with a body shot
and Yamada connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Yamada scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kowalski doesn't seem bothered though. Yamada falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kowalski counters with a single leg into guard. Yamada didn't expect that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kowalski thows a big elbow that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Yamada working a defensive guard here.
Kowalski wants to stand but Yamada has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Kowalski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kowalski postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kowalski trying to control but Yamada is working from the bottom. Yamada is looking to sweep but instead, Kowalski has passed into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Yamada is looking for a sweep. Kowalski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kowalski dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kowalski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yamada sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kowalski somewhat. Kowalski tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kowalski throws a half hearted mid kick. Walt Kowalski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kowalski misses with a few strikes there.

Kowalski closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yamada circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Walt Kowalski. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kowalski looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kowalski on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kowalski uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Yamada. Yamada misses the jab. Yamada misses with a looping right. Kowalski ducks right into an uppercut from Yamada.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamada displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kowalski. Kowalski has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Yamada finds it's way round the side to connect with Kowalski's head.
Kowalski is rocked! Kowalski throws an overhand right that lands on Yamada's shoulder, as Yamada tries to avoid the shot. Yamada Rushes Kowalski and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Kowalski is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Yamada Piles on the pressure and Kowalski crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
