The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dan keeps the fight on the outside.
smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dan pinned against the cage. Dan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dan's guard.
smith looks gassed!
Dan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
smith stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Dan has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! smith manages to get his head free but now Dan has transitioned to an armbar! smith grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Dan! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
