Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Pall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lorenzo Lamas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Pall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lorenzo Lamas!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pall fails with the takedown.

Lamas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pall was covering up waiting for the punch and Lamas finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lamas working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Lamas decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Lamas closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pall wants a takedown but no success here.

Pall successfully pulls guard.
Lamas in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Lamas has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Pall is working an open guard so Lamas takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pall shoots and misses

and Lamas counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pall won't be happy with that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Pall. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lamas stands up.
Lamas doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Pall counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lamas keeping moving, preventing Pall from controlling successfully.
Lamas is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Lamas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Lamas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pall is aware though and is defending well.
Pall has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Pall slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lamas bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pall's guard.
Pall is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pall wants to control but Lamas is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lamas is looking to improve his position.

Lamas looking for subs from the bottom but Pall mounts him!
Lamas looks gassed!
Pall manages to capitalize on a mistake by Lamas to take his back!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lamas looking very determined here, making life difficult for Pall.
Pall is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lamas is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Lamas wants to control his opponent's hands but Pall gets his hands free.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lamas is trapped and Pall is scoring with shots to the head and body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lorenzo Lamas dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Pall shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lamas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Pall counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lamas won't be happy with that.
Lorenzo Lamas has got the better of the ground game so far.
Lamas tries to buck Pall off but Pall is having none of it.
Lamas is not content to let Pall control the position.
Lamas is looking for a sweep.
Pall wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lamas keeps working.

Lamas tries to buck Pall off but Pall is having none of it.
Pall working away.
Lamas is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pall off and has taken his back!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lamas working for a choke but Pall is defending well.
Pall trying to control but not successfully.

Lamas is controlling the position but Pall somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Lamas landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Lamas takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lamas is pressing down on Pall's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pall is holding on for now.
Pall makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pall.
Pall trying to control the position.
Pall is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Lamas postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pall is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lamas, into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lamas working a defensive guard but Pall passes into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pall wants to stand up but Lamas is controlling the position.
Lamas trying to control but Pall postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Pall dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Lamas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Pall counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
A frustrated look appears on Pall's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Pall jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lamas walks away with a smile on his face. Pall gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Pall gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Lamas decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pall's guard.

Lamas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lamas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lamas gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Lamas takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pall changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lamas tries to avoid it but Pall manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lamas to the ground. Lamas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Pall. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Lamas closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pall to the mat! Pall manages to get full guard.

Lamas stands up from Pall's guard - Lamas perhaps looking for a knockout.
Lamas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nice sprawl there from Pall as Lamas shoots in.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lamas.

Pall throws a head kick that misses.
Lamas tries to clinch but Pall moves away

and Pall decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lamas's guard.
Pall looking to sit in guard and control but Lamas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Pall looking for a sweep. Not yet Pall, not yet.

Lamas gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lamas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Pall defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Lamas.
Lamas avoids the attempt from Pall to control.
Lamas prevents Pall from getting the reversal.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lamas lands with some strikes.

Lamas is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Lamas!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Lorenzo Lamas!
