Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nasir Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Petrov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nasir Jones! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jones misses with the combination.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones misses with a wild combination.
Horrible takedown by Petrov or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad. Jones misses the shot to the body. Petrov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Petrov won't allow Jones to get back to his feet. Petrov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jones keeping moving, preventing Petrov from controlling successfully. Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Petrov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Petrov is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones controls Petrov momentarily but Petrov frees himself. Petrov is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Jones seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petrov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Petrov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Petrov chips away with some ground and pound. Petrov is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Petrov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Petrov trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Petrov throws a big right hand that misses. Petrov throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Petrov has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jones has passed into side control.
Petrov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jones wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jones lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like Ivan Petrov has been cut. Petrov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Petrov is working for a kimura but Jones is defending it quite comfortably.
Petrov is breathing heavily. Jones tries to roll over but Petrov keeps him under control. Petrov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petrov wants to free his trapped foot but Jones is holding on for dear life with his legs. Jones trying to hold on to Petrov's head to control him but Petrov postures up.
Jones is controlling Petrov's trapped leg to prevent Petrov from advancing to side control. Jones gets full guard. Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ivan Petrov will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Ivan Petrov's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jones moves into the clinch. Petrov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Petrov tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Petrov drops back down to his feet.
Jones digs a right hand into Petrov's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Petrov's gas tank. Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Petrov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jones.
Jones clinches up against the cage. Petrov pulls guard effortlessly. Petrov throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jones uses it to pass to side control.
Petrov tries to get back to half guard but can't. Petrov sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Petrov punching from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones wants to take a breather but Petrov is having none of it. Petrov pushes Jones off and gets back to his feet. Jones throws a hook but Petrov avoids it easily. Nasir Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Danga de danga de dang - Jones scores with a four punch combination! Petrov shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Petrov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jones misses with a hook. Petrov ducked under it nicely. Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones tries to bum rush Petrov with a series of wild strikes but Petrov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Jones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petrov fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Petrov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Petrov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Petrov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Petrov closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Petrov pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jones misses with a series of wild punches.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Ivan Petrov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Petrov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jones stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Petrov scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones cracks Petrov with a right hand to the side of the head. Left hook, right uppercut from Jones. Petrov scores with a body shot.
Jones tries to bum rush Petrov with a series of wild strikes but Petrov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A right-left combo lands from Petrov. Jones throws a combination that misses and Petrov counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Petrov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Jones keeping moving, preventing Petrov from controlling successfully. Petrov working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Petrov trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Petrov throws a big right hand that misses. Petrov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jones looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jones looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jones! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nasir Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ivan Petrov's cut. That's the end of the round. Jones is trying to force a seperation but Petrov has the dominant position. Jones lands with a left to the head. Jones has had enough of the clinch but Petrov keeps him there for the moment. Petrov fails to pull guard.
Petrov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks. A quick uppercut on the inside from Jones. Jones stalls. Jones manages to break the clinch.
Jones throws a combination. Petrov tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Petrov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Petrov passes Jones's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head. Petrov looks to land a strike but Jones avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Petrov throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. Petrov cracks Jones with a solid left hand. Petrov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jones is pulling down on Petrov's head. It's preventing any offense from Petrov, at least for the moment. Petrov scoring with punches to the head and body. Jones wants to stand up but Petrov is controlling him. Petrov is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control. Petrov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Petrov's corner is telling him to maintain position. Ivan Petrov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones is working an open guard so Petrov takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Nasir Jones. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
