Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Alcano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conor Byrne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alcano comes to the ring accompanied by Three Stars & A Sun. Byrne is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I'm Shipping Up To Boston. Conor Byrne told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcano throws a head kick but Byrne moves out of range.
Alcano slaps away a takedown attempt from Byrne, before circling back to the center of the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Alcano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Byrne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Byrne had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alcano defends it easily.
Byrne manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Alcano manages to get himself to full guard.
Byrne wants to pass the guard but Alcano is keeping the position.
Alcano is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Byrne is looking to control Alcano's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Byrne avoid being mounted?

Alcano lands a left and a right that send Byrne crashing to the mat, dazed. Alcano thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
