Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kris Napiera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Bone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kris Napiera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Napiera fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bone looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Napiera lands a nice shot to the body.
Bone misses with a body punch
and Napiera counters with a left and a right that stings Bone. Bone moves forwards but Napiera connects with a nice, crisp jab. Bone takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bone throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Napiera throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Napiera scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bone doesn't seem bothered though. Bone avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bone misses with a hook to the body
and Napiera counters with a straight right hand. Napiera avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bone slaps away a takedown attempt from Napiera, before circling back to the center of the mat. Bone tries for a takedown but Napiera circles away easily and Napiera counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bone! Bone keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bone is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Napiera wants to control the pace but Bone is squirming around nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bone really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Napiera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Napiera working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Napiera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Napiera prevents Bone from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bone is squirming around, avoiding Napiera's attempts to control the action. Bone is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Napiera trying to control but Bone is having none of it. Bone tries to hold on but Napiera postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Napiera is trying to control here but Bone has managed to regain half guard.
Bone tries to roll over but Napiera keeps him under control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Napiera lands a right hook to the body.
No luck for Napiera with that takedown attempt. Napiera rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bone moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bone with a poor takedown and Napiera counters with a takedown into side control. Bone tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Napiera wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Napiera swings around for an armbar but Bone sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Napiera's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bone trying to control the position from guard on top but Napiera is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Napiera swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bone is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Napiera looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bone looking to sit in guard and control but Napiera gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bone is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kris Napiera dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Bone shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bone takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Horrible takedown by Napiera or perhaps it was just good defense by Bone which made him look bad. Napiera connects with the punch. Napiera lands a lovely overhand right. Bone with a lazy takedown attempt and Napiera counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bone throws a predictable looking body shot
and Napiera connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Jab by Napiera. Napiera throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bone misses with a body shot
and Napiera counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Napiera moves out of range of the leg kick from Bone. Napiera is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bone's half guard. Bone is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Napiera pulls his head out easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Napiera in particular looking to stall. Bone looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Bone is breathing heavily. Bone has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Napiera escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Napiera! Bone is trying to get back to half guard. Napiera trying to control the action but Bone is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Napiera is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bone knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Napiera trying to control the position but Bone is working away. Bone tries to improve position but can't.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bone looks to throw the jab but Napiera is out of range. Napiera gets the takedown into side control. Bone wants to control but Napiera postures up. Napiera in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Bone is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
