PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hubert Rageface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunner Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hubert Rageface had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rageface dodges the punch combination from Rage.
Nice straight punches there by Rage. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rage.
Rage moves in looking to clinch but Rageface pushes him off.
Rage lands with a shot to the body.
Rage looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rage throws a head kick that misses.
Rage doesn't manage to clinch there - Rageface circles away.
Rageface takes one to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rage wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Rage throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rageface was covering up waiting for the punch and Rage finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Rage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rageface. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rageface has hold of Rage's hands but Rage slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rageface is trying to maintain the position but Rage is very close to passing his half guard.
Rage seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Rageface's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Rageface tries to clinch up but Rage circles away and keeps his distance.

Rage shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Rageface is trying to maintain the position but Rage is very close to passing his half guard.

Rage landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rage lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
It looks like Rage is going to stand back up.
Rage looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Rage scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Rageface tries to roll over but Rage keeps him under control.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Rage is working for a kimura but Rageface is defending it quite comfortably.

Rage slips a nice elbow through Rageface's hands, connecting with Rageface's forehead.
Rageface on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Rageface is looking to control Rage's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rageface avoid being mounted?

Rage stands up and beckons Rageface to join him on the feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rageface takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rageface takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Rageface takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rage scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Rageface blocks a head kick by Rage.
Rageface takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Rage shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rage lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Rage punishes Rageface's body with a nice straight punch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rage fails with the takedown.
Rageface takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Rage lands with a right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gunner Rage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rage thuds his right hand into Rageface's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Rage jabs at Rageface's body.
Rageface gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Rage rushes Rageface with punches - Rageface moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Rageface goes down! Rage follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gunner Rage!
