Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pawel Nastula!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nastula slaps away a takedown attempt from Tate, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tate looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Nastula shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tate is trying to defend but Nastula finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Nastula wants to stand up but Tate has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Nastula looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tate with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tate is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nastula is aware though and is defending well.

Tate is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nastula is controlling him.
Nastula postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Nastula has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tate is proving hard to escape from.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Heck Tate will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Tate tries to bum rush Nastula with a series of wild strikes but Nastula uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nastula closes the distance and clinches up with Tate, looking for a takedown. Nastula pushes Tate against the cage but Tate circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Tate closes the distance and clinches up with Nastula, looking for a takedown. Tate pushes Nastula against the cage but Nastula circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Heck Tate showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Tate has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
